22 Days to Go

4 miles this morning in the altitude room, increasing tempo each km. Knee clearly still not 100% but sustainable. Spent the afternoon at the Outdoor Show down at the excel centre where I spent some time at the RacingThePlanet stall with Mary, Alasdair and Dave Annadale. Great to catch up with them. Sounds like the 2012 roving event is going to take place in Jordan. I'll be putting my name down for it almost certainly.

Big day tomorrow. Big test for the strength of my left leg. 45 mile Country to Capital. It will be very wet to begin with and possibly all day so we'll see how it works out. Purely a training run for RR100 so will be trying my best to enjoy it.

  1. morning james> im enjoying watching your run up to RR100. that itb can be a pesky little fucker! if it comes to a last resort then come and see me at profeet (profeet.co.uk) I can make an insole to offload that pressure. last thing i want to to do is 'block up' an ultra distance trail runner like yourself but if its a case of creating something to get you through rocky raccoon then i can certainly get it done. otherwise, good look with your preparations and i hope the big guns turn up for you. if Anton turns up healthy then him for the win no doubt but i definately feel the Sharmanian can certainly scare a few people this year at the big showdowns. Come on the Brits! Be sensible buddy
